Delicious, light,fried cake donuts. Only two varieties - plain & cinnamon sugar. Be sure to get there early - they close at 3pm and close for the season in early October.
This shop is very good at what it does! Cinnamon sugar and plain donuts. I go well out of my way for these every summer. Just wish they took credit cards.
My boyfriend and I were super excited to stop here because we love donuts. However, when we got here and looked at the menu, we found that there were only too kinds of donuts; cinnamon and plain. You would think there would be hundreds of kinds of donuts with a name like "The Donut Shop" but I guess not. They mostly sell tavern-like food which I never would've thought since, once again, it's called "The Donut Shop." I just got a plain donut. It was pretty damn good but I was really looking forward to a huge variety.
I look forward to visiting this place every year. It never disappoints! The breakfast sandwiches are to die for! I often find myself craving one of the donuts or breakfast sandwiches along with the taste my mouth watering. Great food 10/10 would recommend.
